Jain started out as the band Ruminators with Nikolai Kongsgaard and Lasse Hove and while they wrote poor and weird songs, they started to realize the potential of such oddity. Jens Holm join on drums in 2002 and this was the meager beginning of a real band and they changed the name to Jain. In 2003 Ronni Lind join on drums, and thus repositioning Jens Holm to lead guitar, but due to work abroad, Jens Holm had to leave the band in 2006. In the years that followed Jain played many concerts, recorded plenty of songs and kept true to the oddity. But in 2008 it was over and Jain was no more.
